Radiata Pine (Pinus radiata)
Origin: Native to a small coastal area in California and Mexico.   
Growth: Known for its rapid growth, making it a popular choice for commercial forestry.   
Wood Characteristics: The wood is soft and lightweight with a straight grain, making it easy to work with. It's commonly used for construction, furniture, and pulpwood.   
Other names: Monterey pine, insignis pine   

Patula pine (Pinus patula), also known as Mexican weeping pine or spreading-leaved pine, is a coniferous tree native to the highlands of Mexico.

It is characterized by its:

  • Drooping branches: The branches have a graceful, drooping habit, giving the tree a somewhat weeping appearance.
